Red indicates upregulated genes while blue indicates downregulated genes. For this analysis, upregulated and downregulated refers to genes with either increased expression (positive log2-fold change) or decreased expression (negative log2-fold change) in the SON as compared to the data from rest of the brain section. For each set, DEGs were arranged in order of descending log2-fold change value (more positive to more negative)
