Biology of Sex Differences is the official journal of the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences (OSSD), dedicated to promoting research in, and knowledge of, sex and gender differences in biology and medicine.
BioMed Central, publisher of Biology of Sex Differences, and the OSSD have established an annual award to highlight the best research published in the journal by OSSD members. The prize is awarded to the article that is deemed most worthy in terms of novelty, general interest and significance, by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief and an accompanying panel of researchers.
The prize will be a waiver of the article processing charge (APC) for a future publication in the journal, and a £100 Amazon voucher. The prize will be awarded at the annual OSSD meeting, to an article published between 1st January and 31st December of the previous year. Authors may request in the cover letter that they would like to be considered for the award; research articles from all members of the OSSD are welcome.
Biology of Sex Differences is an online, open access journal published by BioMed Central, and is currently the only biomedical journal dedicated to research into sex differences. The journal is supported by an eminent, international Editorial Board. For more information on joining the OSSD, visit the society’s website.
