Overview of sex disparities for cancer immunotherapy. Older and male patients are more inclined to hot tumors, also known as immunosuppressive tumors; tumor cells are more visible to the immune system and open to attack when stimulated with ICB. Younger and female patients are more inclined to cold tumors, also known as immune cell infiltrating tumors; tumor cells are more invisible to the immune system and have a poor response to ICB therapy
