Both TSA and Zebularine treatment decrease BDNF expression but only in the male DG. A Consistent with previous reports, males expressed more BDNF in the DG compared to females (**p < 0.01). TSA administration decreased BDNF expression in the male DG (*p < 0.05), while expression in the female DG was unchanged with drug treatment. B Again, BDNF expression was greater in the male DG relative to females (***p < 0.001). ZEB treatment also reduced BDNF expression in the male DG (***p < 0.001), but had no effect on expression in the female DG
