Monkey view of the testing apparatus for the HDT. Two openings, one on each side of the testing apparatus, allowed the monkey to reach through and retrieve the food reward from a baited well in a Plexiglas tray. A timer is connected to photocells located in the openings for recording of time to retrieve the food reward. Retrieval is also recorded by fixed placement cameras mounted above the apparatus for assessment of grasp patterns
