Effects of PMI5011and bitter melon on body composition in female mice: PMI5011 supplementation resulted in a significant increase in body weight due to increased adiposity unrelated to food intake, whereas bitter melon did not affect body weight (a). PMI5011 and bitter melon resulted in a non-significant reduction in food intake on a high-fat diet (b). An increase in percent fat mass and corresponding decrease in fat-free mass was observed in females supplemented with PMI5011, while bitter melon did not affect fat mass or fat-free mass (c).
