  1. Rats were weighed before undergoing SPS or control conditions (baseline) and on the day of the dexamethasone suppression test (post-test). SPS did not affect body weight, and all rats gained weight over the course of the experiment (*, vs baseline). As expected, all females weighed less than males. Data presented as mean ± SEM.
