Expression for each main factor is expressed as the male phenotype divided by the female phenotype (i.e., sex chromosome, XY/XX; gonadal sex, testes/ovaries; activational, testosterone/blank). Red indicates that the gene was expressed at higher levels in the male phenotype; blue indicates that the gene was expressed at higher levels in the female phenotype. The asterisk indicates significant main effect of that factor; the plus sign indicates significant interaction involving that factor.
