Sex differences due to gonadal hormone effects in adult hypothalamic astrocytes. In four core genotype (FCG) mice, control astrocytes from XYM mice synthesized significantly less progesterone (P < 0.05) than control astrocytes from XXF, XYF and XXM mice.
